SCIENCE CONFIRMS THE BIBLE

The Bible is not a science book, yet it is scientifically accurate.

1. Statements consistent with Astronomy
a. The Bible frequently refers to the greater number of stars in the heavens.
Jeremiah 33:22 (written 2500 years ago) - 'As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea be measured.' The scientists admit that there are countless number of stars in the universe. Only about 3000 can be seen with the naked eye.
b. The Bible says that each star is unique.
1 Corinthians 15:41 - 'For one star differs from another star in glory.' The analysis of the stars light spectra reveals that each is unique.
c. The Bible describes the suspension of the earth in space.
Job 26:7 - 'He suspends the earth over nothing.'

2. Statements consistent with Meteorology
a. The Bible describes the circulation of atmosphere.
Ecclesiastes 1:6 - 'The wind blows to the south and turns to the north, round and round it goes, ever returning on its course.'
b. The Bible includes some principles of fluid dynamics.
Job 28:25 - 'To make the weight for the winds...' The fact that air has weight was proved scientifically only about 300 years ago.

3. Statements consistent with Hydrology
a. The Bible gives description of hydraulic cycle.
Psalms 135:7 - 'He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightening for the rain. He brings the winds out of its treasuries.' The simple verse has remarkable scientific insight.
b. The Bible describes the water cycle.
Ecclesistes 1:7 — 'All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again.' The Bible describes the water cycle about 2500 years ago. It was confirmed by 17th century.

4. Statements consistent with Geology
a. The Bible reveals that the earth is round.
Isaiah 40: 22 (written 2800 years ago) - It is He that sits upon the circle of the earth.' Christopher Columbus proved that the earth is round in 14th century.
